CAUSE FOR BEATIFICATION

A Path to Holiness

"Holiness is not a privilege for a few, but a calling for everyone."

The Church has officially recognized the heroic nature of the virtues of our foundress, Delia Tétreault, declaring her Venerable on December 18, 1997. This was the first major step in a meticulous process that seeks to confirm—for the glory of God and the good of the community—that her life is a model of faith and missionary devotion.

Where Are We Now?

Currently, we are in the stage of waiting and praying for a miracle. For Venerable Delia to be proclaimed Blessed, the Church requires the confirmation of an extraordinary healing or favor obtained through her intercession—one that is scientifically inexplicable and lasting.

The Rigor of Truth

The cause of Delia Tétreault is not only a matter of faith but also of exhaustive investigation.

The dossier sent to the Holy See in Rome consists of:

  • 12,903 pages of historical and spiritual documentation.

  • Testimonies from 51 witnesses who knew her work and her reputation for holiness.

  • An in-depth study of her original writings, letters, and conferences.

How Can You Participate?

Beatification is a journey we walk together as the MIC Family. Your participation is vital:

  • Prayer: We invite you to pray the Prayer for the Beatification of Delia daily, asking for her intercession for your needs and those of the world.

  • Outreach: Share her life and spirituality with others. The more hearts that know her, the more voices will seek her help.

  • Reporting Graces: If you have received a favor, a special sense of peace, or a healing after seeking Mother Delia’s intercession, it is essential that you let us know. These testimonies are the foundation for the study of a potential miracle.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

What does it mean to be "Venerable"?

It means that the Pope has declared that Delia Tétreault lived the Christian virtues (faith, hope, charity, and the cardinal virtues) to a heroic degree. It is the step immediately preceding Beatification.

Why is a miracle necessary?

A miracle is considered "God’s signature" on the Church’s decision. It is the divine confirmation that the person is in His presence and interceding for us.

What is considered a reportable favor?

Anything from an inexplicable recovery from an illness to a profound spiritual grace or providential help in moments of crisis. Every testimony is valuable to the Postulation.
